There is just something magical about the beach at night. The feel of the warm breeze caressing your skin, the sound of the waves crashing beneath your feet and the sight of twinkling stars and the mysterious moon above you. It is almost as if there is electricity in the air – you can sense the energy and excitement. It is magnetic. We love sharing this feeling with our guests so we put together a list of some of our favourite things to do at our Beach House after dark.
Take part in the Sunset Ceremony. We like to make a ritual out of the sunset at our Beach House. We set up distinctive furniture along the beachfront so guests can take pictures of the spectacular view as the sun goes down. Complete the whole experience by toasting to the sunset with loved ones during Happy Hour at Vista Bar between 5-7pm every evening. On Saturday, we also feature local musicians at Jam Night.
Every Friday closest to the New Moon, Anchor & Den is transformed into a sacred space with candlelight, smoldering white sage and vibrating tunes. We believe that setting intentions during the New Moon is a powerful and meaningful way to align with the world around us and provide guidance in our lives. Join us for our signature Dark Night event and enjoy an evening of Apothecary elixirs, holistic bites, stargazing, intention setting, plus so much more. For this month’s Dark Night evening – taking place on Friday, 27 January – we will be featuring our popular Chakra Colouring activity with Dale Avery, Crystal Wiring and Jewelry Making with Stephanie Arch of Sea and Stone Boutique and our Aromatherapy Corner with Beverly Edgington.
At our Beach House, we love our bonfires on the beach. It is the perfect setting to connect with friends old and new. Enjoy making S’mores in the company of friends and family as you take in the beautiful view of Seven Mile Beach. Taking place on Thursday and Sunday evenings from 7pm.
Discover the night sky with our signature star gazing event on the beach. Led by the Cayman Islands Astronomical Society, observe the beauty and mystery of the cosmos. Exploring the night sky is a fun activity for kids of all ages and it is such a wonderful way to spend time together as a family.
Dine under the stars. Being in paradise means that we have the luxury of enjoying balmy evenings. Take advantage of the breathtaking ambience by dining with friends or have a romantic candlelit meal with a loved one at our oceanfront restaurant Veranda.
Grab a bike and explore what Cayman has to offer. There are number of fun places to visit on West Bay Road along Seven Mile Beach or take a jaunt down to Camana Bay to check out their beautiful fountain display at night. Our Beach House offers guests complimentary Linus bike rentals, included in the Resort Fee.
Watch a film on the big screen under the Caribbean night sky. We host a poolside movie night for families on Tuesdays from 7pm. Bring on the popcorn!
