Resident Poet
This year at Botanika Union, we are all about personal transformation from the inside out. Our dream is for 2020 to be a year of soul-searching, self-discovery and pursuing what makes us feel happy and at peace. This can be exploring a new hobby or passion that offers a sense of purpose or provides a creative outlet. Or it can be about carving out some much needed time for self-care and reflection. We know it may not be the easiest task in the world, but as we are all constantly evolving, the best way to invest in personal transformation is to embrace it!
To celebrate this, every month we will be unleashing our poetic side and sharing some beautifully written haikus on Transformation, written by our very own Resident Poet at the Beach House. A traditional Japanses haiku is a three-line poem with seventeen syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. Our haikus are inspired by the main tenets of B/U, such as beauty, grace, self-love, plus so much more.
For February, since it is the month of love, we are focusing on the heart. We hope you enjoy our short but sweet verses on opening your heart to love in all forms!
You, Love.
The heart must open,
To invite the light inside.
Grace must lead the way.
For when you let love
Be the source of all your truth,
Your path will be clear.
It’s what holds us close.
Love, which binds us together;
All-encompassing.
B/U is our sacred spa located in the lobby of the Marriott’s Beach House, open daily from 9am-6pm. For more information on our philosophy, holistic offerings and to book treatments, visit www.botanikaunion.com.
