The Beach House team is gearing up for our much anticipated New Year’s Eve celebrations! As we say goodbye to 2017, we are celebrating the small things in life and creating magic in the ordinary. We took inspiration from the happiest places around the globe and for 2018 we are discovering the secrets to everyday happy living. Join us as we toast to the beginning of a new year in paradise with Kinship 2018.
We were inspired by the Danish concept of ‘hygge’ (pronounced “hoo-gah”), which is a quality of presence and an experience of belonging and togetherness. It is a feeling of being cozy, warm, comforted and safe. It’s a feeling of engagement and relatedness, of belonging to the moment and to each other. Hygge is a sense of abundance and contentment. Hygge is about being, not having.
Simple pleasures evoke hygge – an evening walk on the beach, letting the sun dry your skin after a dip in the sea, a bike ride at sunset. It is about having less, enjoying more; the pleasure of simply being.
Our New Year’s Eve party is going to be an unforgettable night, with irresistible food creations by our Executive Chef Steve Griffon, accompanied by bottomless glasses of bubbles. Our signature party would not be complete without live music, dancing under the stars and ringing in the New Year with a fabulous fireworks display!
A Beach House tradition that we like to do every year is our Sky Lantern Ceremony, when we invite guests to write their intentions on paper lanterns and send them off into the night sky. This ceremony has come to represent the releasing of one’s hopes, desires and fears into the universe. It can be perceived as letting go of regret and disappointment while at the same time welcoming and embracing new beginnings and hopes for the future.
Ring in 2018 in style at our Beach House and make a toast to good times with family, friends and loved ones!
