Camping out on Cayman’s beautiful beaches during the Easter break is a long-standing tradition. Hundreds of families flock to the coastline for the Easter weekend, bringing with them camping equipment and provisions to last them for days. It is one of the only times during the year when families and friends can gather and spend quality time together in a natural setting without the distractions of daily life.
Days and nights are often spent barbequing on the beach, playing games along the shoreline and reminiscing about good times. At our Beach House, we love this time of year because it brings loved ones together to reconnect and make lasting memories.
We have a number of fun activities organized for the Easter weekend that embraces this wonderful Caymanian tradition. On Saturday, 15 April, from 7:30pm we will be hosting our hugely popular Stargazing event on the beach. Led by our Star Guide Kathryn, discover and identify constellations such as Orion the Hunter and the Summer Triangle in the Caribbean sky. Exploring the night sky is an interactive activity for kids of all ages and it is such a memorable way to spend time together as a family.
Earlier that day we will also be offering a new activity for the whole family to enjoy – making flower crowns. Guests are welcome to choose a few beautiful fresh flowers to add to their homemade crown. Held in our Courtyard, this activity will take place from 2pm–3pm.
On Sunday, 16 April we will be hosting a special Easter edition of our signature Boulangerie Brunch from 12–3pm. The delicious spread will include sushi and fresh oysters from Anchor & Den’s popular Raw Bar, authentic Spanish tapas and charcuterie boards, roasted whole local snapper and prime rib at the Carving Station and a mouthwatering dessert bar – just to name a few!
Beverages will include unlimited De Chanceny’s Cremant de Loire, unlimited Jean Luc Colombo Rose Wine, a Pop-Up Bar featuring two signature cocktails, as well as three surprise cocktails from their Grab & Go fridge.
Anchor & Den is also excited to be showcasing a special farm themed chocolate installation with a bee hive, flowers, owls, bees, honeycombs and Easter eggs. In-house Chocolatier Denise will be creating this impressive work of art from 20 kilograms of white, dark and milk chocolate. And as a special treat to guests, we will be offering bags of delectable chocolate bark and mixed nuts to take home.
Throughout Easter week, our Bomboneria is selling small bags of homemade chocolate eggs for $6CI, along with large Easter eggs full of M&M’s for $8CI.
In addition, the fabulous Kids Club team will be hosting its Easter Party. Kids will enjoy crafts and games, special guest appearances from the Easter Bunny and Alice from Wonderland and an Easter egg hunt in the Courtyard.
In the evening, we will kick off the festivities on our beach with a bonfire and complimentary S’mores from 7pm. And at 9pm we will be sharing with our guests one of our favorite rituals – our signature Sky Lantern Ceremony.
Enjoy some blissful moments on the beach with loved ones this Easter weekend and take part in some of our exciting activities!
