With a solar eclipse in Pisces on the horizon, on this Dark Night you should focus your intentions on centering your vision on the future, making progress on your spiritual or creative work and practicing forgiveness so that you can put the past behind you and move forward with lightness and ease.
New Moons, occurring when the Sun and Moon meet together in the same section of the sky, create a potent opportunity to set an intentional framework for the next lunar cycle (which each last approximately 28 days). While New Moon periods are typically all about new beginnings, this one is a little different. With the upcoming New Moon a solar eclipse in Pisces (the final sign of the zodiac) and aligned with the South Node (putting us in touch with our all-too-familiar bad habits and stagnant comfort zones), we’re being presented with an additional opportunity for deep release of the stagnant emotional and physical habits that do not serve us.
There’s a sense accompanying this New Moon of something closing now so that something else — a fresh dream, new adventure, creative endeavor — can rise up in its place. Eclipse periods often present us with the need to make big-time adjustments in our lives. If this is the case for you, focus your imaginative attention on the promise of the future-possible: what might that look like? How might it feel? Where will the next year take you?
Simply put: this is the beginning of a new cycle of aliveness. The faster you can let go of what has ceased to function in your life, the faster you can let go of your own victimhood and accept responsibility for the totality of your experience, the faster your evolution will arrive.
Look for ways to turn your darker experiences into a guiding light for others. Give light as service, with no strings attached, as healing for yourself and others.
Any extra effort you can direct toward amplifying your intentions during this cycle will go a long way toward creating the life you desire over the next six months. Create a sacred space: light candles, burn sage, put on some high-vibrational tunes… Or find it all at the Dark Night event on Friday, February 24th in Anchor & Den at the Marriott’s Beach House in Cayman, along with a transformationally-minded holistic community focused on using cosmic energies to create positive change.
Wherever you are, try to find a moment of stillness to feel into the flow of the cosmos, slowly unwinding all around you. Stare up at the stars, or take some time to daydream. This is potent medicine for future peace.
