The Beauty Of A Sunset

One of our favourite ways to kick off the weekend is with a sunset sail. Nothing beats being whisked away on a boat as the day starts to close. The melodic sound of the waves, the feel of the warm breeze surrounding you and the view of the candy-coloured sky is exactly what being in paradise is all about.
At our Beach House, the sunset is sacred to us. Luckily for us in Cayman we get to witness the beauty of the sunset all the time. We love these last few moments of the day. It is the perfect opportunity for us to feel, absorb and be grateful.
The sky, now a dark canvas with an afterglow of sunset, opens up to reveal the twinkling stars up above. This transition from day to dusk is a grand performance that offers its audience something different each night. We give it a standing ovation every single time.
We are inspired by these amazing moments that take our breath away and make us feel alive. Here, we share some of our favourite (and lesser known) quotes about the sunset.
“Sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking moments in his life. Moments of exhilaration and ecstasy. Deeply moving moments when he would dream. Dreams that splashed myriad colors on his mind’s gray canvas!” – Avijeet Das
“Today was about chasing sun-rays, beach waves, & sunsets. All things beautiful that give you peace are worth chasing. Everything else isn’t.” – April Mae Monterrosa
“Every time you wake up and ask yourself, What good things am I going to do today?, remember when the sun goes down at sunset, it will take a part of your life with it.” – Indian Proverb
“At sunset, Nature is painting for us…day after day …pictures of infinite beauty.” – John Ruskin

“I cry very easily. It can be a movie, a phone conversation, a sunset – tears are words waiting to be written.” – Paulo Coelho

“Sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too.” – Beau Taplin

Red Sail Sports, located next to the Towel Hut at our Beach House, offers sunset cruises throughout the week. Make sure to swing by for more details about this unforgettable excursion.
